Rector Dalgar Attended the Regional Development Focused Universities Meeting.

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar attended the “Regional Development Oriented Universities Meeting” organized within the framework of the “Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program” under the chairmanship of the Higher Education Council (YÖK) President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar.

The meeting was held on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, hosted by Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University, which is a specialized university in the tea field. The meeting was attended by YÖK Executive Board Members Prof. Dr. Naci Gündoğan and Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Karaman, as well as the rectors and vice-rectors of 22 universities selected as specialized universities by YÖK. Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar and Vice-Rector Prof. Dr. Hakan Öner also attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Higher Education Council (YÖK) President Prof. Dr. Erol Özvar stated that the meeting has been held so far at Düzce, Bingöl, Kırşehir Ahi Evran, Uşak, Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy, and Kastamonu universities, and emphasized that every sector has made great efforts to ensure the effective and efficient implementation of the Regional Development Oriented Mission Differentiation and Specialization Program and to achieve the targeted regional outcomes, thanking those who supported it.

At the meeting, MAKÜ Rector Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Dalgar also took the floor and informed the participants about the studies carried out by MAKÜ in the field of livestock and shared his experiences.
